Epilepsy Nurses Forum - Learning Disabilities (North West)

We are a group of healthcare professionals with an interest in epilepsy and learning disabilities. We meet on a monthly basis (usually the last Friday of the month) in Widnes.

The forums function is to provide a supportive and learning environment for nurses to review, develop and share practice skills and wherever possible offer guidance on individual casework and general clinical issues. We also aim to improve service delivery by promoting awareness of learning disability issues and maximising quality of life towards this client group.

The objectives of the group include the development of epilepsy management for people with a learning disability across the North West, to maintain developments in continuing personal and professional development in the field of epilepsy, to disseminate new initiatives and to provide advice, peer support and opportunities for networking.

There is no cost to attend and anyone is welcome to come along to Bridges Learning Centre, Crow Wood Health Park, Crow Wood Lane, Widnes, WA8 3LZ. Meetings start at 10.30am.

Dates for 2011 are: 25th Feb, 25th March, 27th May, 24th June, 29th July, 26th August, 30th Sept, 28th Oct, 25th Nov and 23rd Dec.
