WANTED - Community Connectors at Bury Parents Forum

Bury Parents Forum is family led. The aim of the forum is to enable people who have disabilities to live a good life & to give their families peace of mind. Whilst at the same time raising expectations within their local communities.

We do this by finding good local people to create a network of support around an individual, develop a plan for the future and make that plan happen. These are ‘Community Connectors’.

Each Community Connector works with individuals and their families. They are matched upon geography, personality types, skill mix etc so the approach is person centred.

Community Connectors are voluntary and are only required to spend a few hours per month with the families. (Expenses will be covered)

We are currently doing a promotion for recruiting Community Connectors for our second cohort of families on the Personalisation Pilot in Bury. It is an opportunity for people to meet us and for us to meet them and see if Community Connecting is going to be suitable for both parties.
