Involve me project
The Involve Me resource aims to increase the involvement of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in decision making and consultation. The resource is the result of a three year project, supported by the Renton Foundation and run by Mencap in partnership with the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD).

Sibs is a uk charity for people who are growing up or have grown up with a brother or sister with any disability, long term chronic illness or life limiting condition.
They recognise the needs that the siblings have and aim to offer support and information for siblings and parents. They offer free resources for parents, email tips, phone support for parents and more.

People at CHANGE were very worried about the events which happened at Winterbourne and were concerned that vulnerable adults are not being empowered to know when they are being abused and what to do about it.
CHANGE have made an accessible document called 'What is safeguarding?' to support people to understand how they should be treated.

Patient Passport
The Patient Passport provides crucial information about a person’s everyday needs and wishes. It also specifies the person’s primary diagnosis, if known, for example: Learning disability, dementia or other condition
We have evolved the patient passport to include end of life decisions and rather than the passport being just for people with learning disability this is now one document for anyone who may be vulnerable because of communication difficulties, ie people with dementia, stroke, long term conditions end of life needs
