Epilepsy Helpline

Epilepsy action is a membership organisation whose main aim is to raise awareness of epilepsy.

They run Epilepsy helpline which is a free phone service for people in the UK to use to discuss their concerns confidentially.

The helpline is open from Monday to Thursday 9am – 4.30pm and Fridays 9am – 4pm  

The number for the helpline is 0808 800 5050.  

The helpline is staffed by advice and information officers who all have extensive knowledge of issues related to epilepsy.

If you preferred to not speak to an advisor there is an email helpline that you can access or a text message helpline.  

Email Helpline - A member of the advice and information line will respond to the email, the aim being to respond within 5 days.

Text Message Helpline – If you have a question about epilepsy you can contact the Epilepsy helpline by sending a text message to 07797 805 390.

A member of the advice and information team will aim to send a reply to your phone within 24 hours (on working days).

A text can be sent at any time of day or night and you will be charged at usual rates for any texts you send. You will not be charged for the reply.
