Disabled Persons Railcard

If you have a disability that makes travelling by train difficult you may be eligible to a Disabled Persons Railcard.
The railcard entitles you to a 1/3 off most rail fares and any adult companion travelling with you is also entitled to this discount.

To check eligibility follow this link:

The railcard is £20 for one year and £54 for three years.

The application form can be downloaded from the following link:

Note: A child aged between 5-15 years old with a disability listed on the application form would qualify for a railcard but the child railcard is usually a better rate of 50%. However, with a child railcard there is no saving for an adult travelling with them. With the Disabled persons railcard the adult travelling with the child would get 1/3 off the standard fare.
