We at Bury Parents Forum have undertaken some research around the difficulties faced by parents/carers of children with additional needs or disabilities in accessing mainstream childcare.
From this work we hope to identify some common problems and issues we face in finding suitable childcare, and move forwards by seeing how we can work co-operatively and positively with childcare providers, helping them to be inclusive to our children resulting in a more stress free, confidant and pleasant experience all around.
